Yes, it was precise and responsive, for, say a wheel of cheese.

it was under a tree for 3 years at my dad's friend's junk yard. The basic plan was, if I could get it started, I could have it. I had to put a new battery and ignition lock on it (in 100+ degree F weather). Fun car, I miss it.

Ahh, makes a bit more sense now .) But I don't doubt for a second that you miss it. The song of the BMW I6 is something else right :) Other engines scream or growl, but them BMW I6's just sing.

I've got three. Here's what actually sold me* on the car, though:
Hint - lots of this:
*The video didn't sell me on the car. I hadn't seen it before I got it. The reason I own a 106 is that my sister found one in good shape, going for very little money. I didn't know that it was the best supermini to come out of the nineties, or that it'd be fun enough to drive to almost single-handedly turn me into an actual car enthusiast.

Mines a MK II, but this is close enough. Sexy European indeed. Have a beastly sounding Capri. It is still the 2.8 Cologne V6 hiding under all that noise.

When I had that car the speed limit here in Norway was 90KM/H, the rozzers pulled me over doing 110 but they figured that something must've gone wrong with the thingy they use to measure speed :P There was no way an old Opel could go that fast :P

The first ad is one of the better ones for the Evo I've seen. The best advertisement though, was all those years in the WRC.

Mine is actually an '87, which I still own.
Also, you've gotta love that they said 0-50mph, with the federal 55mph speed limit they probably weren't allowed to quote 0-60.

induction sound on a BMW is metal to my ears. Every single cheapo bimmer I've owned had an after market intake to further amplify that music.

I misread the intent of the original post. That is my current car. My first car was a 68 Mustang that I bought in 1990. I posted the commercial for that as a reply as I didn't make it back in time to edit.
